UNITED SERVICES 2011 AUCTION RAISES OVER $128,000 TO SUPPORT AGENCY NEEDS

Over 350 guests filled The Columns Banquet Center August 27th to "Imagine" the possibilities of what their collective contributions could do for the agency!  The net result?  More than $128,000 was raised through the generous donations of supporters that evening.

Among the highlights of the event was a special fundraising appeal lead by Dr. Michael Conoyer to support a dire need for playground improvements at United Services' Dardenne Prairie site.  Over $53,000 was raised toward the project's total cost of $120,000.

Awards were given to several long time advocates for the agency.  The Volunteers of the Year recognition was given to Scott & Andrea Dettmer whose 2 children attend United Services and who have given back through their participation in the Blue Ribbon (auction) Committee as well as the agency's Board of Directors.  Lesa Johnson, former Early Childhood Special Education Director at the agency and now Endowment Board member was given the Crider Award for her devotion and dedication to United Services by her contributions of time, talent and treasure.
